Prelub QuickEvac™ Technology

Consider this...

Independent testing shows significant rod bearing wear after just five seconds of oil pressure delay, and rapid ring face and side wear after 20 seconds. Pre-lubrication reduces rod bearing wear (13-62%) over conventional starting. Your equipment and your people work hard every day, and not in the best of conditions. They often experience severe applications, extreme cold and hot weather conditions. Year round one fact remains... keeping machines working is the path to profitability for you and your company. Automating PMs is critical to the effort. Finding ways to make routine maintenance faster, safer and cleaner for your Service Techs is a never-ending process. Making your engines live longer is also critical. The QuickEvac™ Technology offers faster turns for routine PMs, improved contamination control, and complete engine pre-lubrication for longer engine life. The QuickEvac™ Technology is safer for your technician, better for the environment and more profitable for your company.

Speed

Imagine a complete engine oil and filter change in less than 20 minutes or a complete 250 or 500 hour service including greasing, SOS samples and inspection in about an hour. Whether you perform your own service or have it completed by your dealer, the QuickEvac™ system saves you time and money while increasing machine availability. Fleet paybacks of less than 12 months are typical with ROls in excess of 60% per year. Remember, what’s easy to do... gets done! With the QuickEvac™ system, routine PMs just can’t get any easier.

Contamination Control

Today’s high performance machines demand cleaner fluids for optimal performance and life. Tighter tolerance, higher pressures and computerised controls require cleaner fluids to ensure optimal component performance. Even small improvements in contamination control are yielding big results in engine and component life. The QuickEvac™ system filters new oil on entry to engine, before the oil enters the sump. It also pre-fills new oil filters automatically, eliminating the need to fill filters by hand.

Protection from the Start

Lubrication is the lifeblood of a diesel engine, especially in today’s highperformance, fast starting diesels.

Dry starts can occur in very cold weather, very hot climates, after prolonged shut downs, or following routine oil changes. Dry starts mean accelerated engine wear, more frequent overhaul, more downtime, and increased maintenance and replacement costs. Stop the dry start destruction with a system that delivers up to 150 litres of oil per minute, ensuring full oil pressure from turbo to crankshaft. The system automatically, safely and quickly fills remote-mount filters and all oil passages prior to cranking, every time the engine starts. If someone forgets to put oil in the engine, the fail safe (no oil, no start) feature prevents the engine from cranking. Technicians get a live dip-stick read on fill, no need to start engine to verify fill levels.

Independent testing shows that the QuickEvac™ pre-lubrication system reduces engine bearing and ring wear by up to 60% on average under typical start-up conditions. With overnight and weekend shutdowns, pre-lubrication reduces wear by an average of 53%. That’s especially significant for single-shift operations, as well as marine, prime-power and industrial applications.

Environmental Protection

The QuickEvac™ system offers fool-proof, spill-proof protection. Leak-free quick couplers with direct drain to final containment eliminate leaks and spills. No need for drain pans or intermediate containers. Purged oil filters have almost no oil to spill or to burn Service Techs. The QuickEvac™ system keeps Service Techs, the work place and the environment cleaner, and safer.

Safety

It’s estimated that up to 35% of injuries occur when technicians are climbing on or off heavy equipment. The QuickEvac™ system dramatically reduces the need for technicians to climb up or under the machine during routine PMs. Getting under machines to remove belly guards, position and remove drain pans is eliminated.

With ground-accessible service points, the QuickEvac™ system allows your technician to purge old filters of hot oil, evacuate the engine oil, and refill all from a single point. Used oil is pumped directly from compartments into final waste containers or Lube Trucks. No pans or catch basins are needed. No hot oil hits the PM technicians, the ground or the machine. Finally, because new oil is introduced into the engine via the main oil passages and oil filters, the engine is fully prelubricated on fill. This means Techs have a “live read” on the engine dipstick without climbing the machine, starting the engine, shutting down and then topping off the oil levels. Fewer steps mean less chance of error and injury.

Protection that pays

In the equipment business, managing risk is the name of the game. That job just got easier with the QuickEvac™ system:
