Dual Internal Fans for High-Temperature Environments High heat environments adversely affect alternator performance and life. The new EPA compliant emissions standard engines produce higher underhood temperatures than pre-2002 engines. Delco Remy 24SI brush alternators are designed to handle under-hood temperature applications up to 105°C.
